How do I clean my air conditioning filter?

Most filters can simply be washed with a gentle hose. When removing the filter, the side facing the inside of the room is the 'dirty' side. Facing the dirty side away from you, hose the filter to remove the dust and not drive it further into the filter. Once the majority of the dust is removed, you can then turn the filter over and completely wash the filter. Drip dry and replace.

Note, although some filters can be vacuumed, we recommend not doing so as it can often cause more damage than good.

Filters should be washed every 1-3 months approximately.
